From Idea to Impact: How I Create Attention-Grabbing Videos with AI

Creating scroll-stopping videos doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive — AI tools make it faster and more accessible than ever. Here’s how to make your next short video stand out:

1. Start with a Simple Idea

Begin with a single clear message, one key takeaway, product, or story. Short videos (under 30 seconds) work best when they focus on one thing. In this case, I started by taking an image and having the idea.

2. Use AI to Script It

Tools like ChatGPT can help you write a snappy intro, a hook that grabs attention in the first 3 seconds, and a clear call to action. Keep your tone conversational. In this case, I knew what I wanted as the result, turning my image into a video, so I wrote a very simple prompt. “Make the vampire flap his wings and hover above the sign. He snarls and shows his teeth”.

3. Generate Visuals in Seconds

AI video platforms such as Kling, Pika Labs or Runway can turn your script into professional-looking video clips with text overlays, voiceovers, or even animated characters. No camera required. For this, I uploaded an image to Kling AI, along with the prompt above.

4. Add Captions and Branding

Most people watch on mute. Use AI captioning tools to add clean, readable text and include your logo or brand colours for a polished look. I drop into CapCut, add a title and some music. If you want to get really creative, then you can write your own music and avoid any copyright issues, but that takes time.

5. Test and Post

Share, analyse, and adjust. Try different hooks or visuals to see what grabs attention. Consistency is key — the more you post, the more you learn what works.

AI isn’t replacing creativity — it’s accelerating it. With the right tools and a clear message, you can turn your ideas into engaging short videos that stop the scroll.
